On screen, everything happens fast: you upload a photo, and in under three minutes you see the 2D preview of your figurine. But what happens next, once you hit validate? The answer is very tangible: a resin printer gets to work in a workshop in France. Today, we are taking you to the other side of the configurator.

A figurine made in France

At Minivatar, printing is not outsourced to an anonymous factory on the other side of the world. Every figurine is printed in HD resin in our own workshop, in France. That choice changes very concrete things for you: a short path between the validation of your 3D model and the print, a team that checks every piece before it ships, and a parcel that leaves straight from the workshop.

It is also a matter of consistency. A custom figurine is a personal object, often a gift. Knowing where and how it is made is part of the trust we owe you, just like the fact that your photo is deleted after generation.

14K SLA resin, built for precision

Let's talk tech for a minute, because this is where the magic happens. Our figurines are printed in SLA on an Anycubic Photon Mono M7 14K. In practice, SLA printing works by photopolymerization: liquid resin is cured layer by layer with light, at a level of fineness that filament (FDM) printing simply cannot reach. The 14K resolution of the screen captures the details that make your figurine look like you: facial features, the folds of a garment, the texture of an armor plate.

That is why we never print your orders in FDM or PLA. For a figurine between 54 and 180 mm, where every millimeter counts, SLA resin is the only option that measures up.

A word of honesty along the way: to guarantee a reliable print, the AI simplifies or removes very small accessories such as thin glasses, piercings or small jewelry. It is a deliberate trade-off between fidelity and the strength of the piece.

From your validation to the print

Here is the full journey of your order, with the real timelines:

1. The 2D preview. Under three minutes after you send your photo or your description.
2. The 3D model. After your validation, our team prepares it within 24 business hours.
3. Printing and finishing. Your figurine is printed in resin in the workshop, then inspected.
4. Shipping. Within 10 business days after 3D model validation for an unpainted figurine.

All figurines are delivered in raw resin, ready to paint or to display as they are. If you choose the hand-painted option, available on the 150 and 180 mm sizes, a preview is sent before painting starts and the timeline becomes 20 to 25 days. The finish is classic and clean: main colors and contrasts, for a piece ready to display.

Packaging designed for resin

A detailed resin figurine does not travel in a bubble envelope. Every piece leaves in reinforced packaging with custom-fit padding, matched to its size, so it survives the journey without a scratch.
