Which Figurine Size to Choose: The 54 to 180mm Guide

You have picked your style, your render, your pose... and then comes the last step in the configurator: the size. It is the choice that changes the final result the most, yet it is often the one made in a hurry. At Minivatar, human figurines come in four sizes, from 54 to 180mm, all printed in HD resin in our French workshop. Here is how to pick the one that truly fits you.

54mm: the gamer's size

The 54mm is the tabletop format par excellence, and also the most affordable at 18€. It is compatible with the usual scales of your Warhammer, D&D or Pathfinder sessions: your figurine sits on the table among the others without looking out of place.

It is the right choice if you want to:

  • Play as your own character in your roleplaying campaigns
  • Add a unique piece to your army or your gaming collection
  • Give a gamer friend an original little gift without breaking the bank

At this scale, the AI naturally simplifies the tiniest details to guarantee a clean print. The Simplified and Chibi renders feel especially at home here.

110mm: the display format

The 110mm, at 31€, is our most popular size, and that is no accident. It is large enough for the face and the style details to read clearly, and compact enough to fit on a desk, a shelf or a display cabinet without rearranging everything.

If you are hesitating with no specific use in mind, or looking for a gift that makes an impression once unwrapped, the 110mm is the safe bet.

150mm: the large display piece

From 150mm (38€) onwards, you enter a different category: the figurine becomes a true display object. The Complex render, with its fine textures and gradients, really comes into its own here. It is also the first size eligible for the hand-painted option.

Note that the 150mm is reserved for human figurines: busts and pets are not available in this size.

180mm: the centerpiece

The 180mm (45€) is our largest size. It is the central piece of a collection, the one people notice when they walk into the room. If the figurine is meant to mark a big moment, a retirement, a graduation, a campaign character you have played for years, this is the format that does it justice.

Busts and pets: 54 and 110mm only

One important point if you are creating a bust or a figurine of your dog or cat: these two product families exist only in 54mm and 110mm. The 150 and 180mm sizes are reserved for full-body human figurines.

What if you want it already painted?

All our figurines ship in raw resin, ready to paint or to display as they are. If you would rather receive a piece already painted by hand, the option exists only on human figurines in 150mm (129€) and 180mm (169€), with a classic finish: main tones and contrasts, a clean result, ready to display.
